In the Hebrew Bible there are TWO traditions about the so-called “Ark of the Covenant”– one made famous in our time by books, movies, and Ark Hunters–that golden chest with the cherubim. The other a simple wooden box that Moses made–overlooked and unknown. The latter is the one that held the “Testimony,” or EDUTH…but what does that mean–and what happened to it? Do we have any clues, any ancient documents?
