I have known for several weeks that the National Catholic Reporter would be reviewing my book. I never got a call from the reporter, which made me worry even more. I just assumed, given the Catholic establishment, plus my book, The Jesus Dynasty being denounced from the pulpit of St. Paul’s in NY by the Bishop, that there would be a very negative response. And then I saw who had written this review–the remarkable Diane Scharper, with her solid academic training and enlightened writing.
