In this segment of a longer lecture I gave recently I discuss whether it is historical probably that Jesus expected and predicted his sufferings and potential death. The vast majority of scholars would deny that such was the case, and see this as something added after the fact after the shock of his completely unanticipated fate–to show he knew everything beforehand.
