When Prophecy Fails: The Case of John the Baptist, Jesus, James, and Paul

I recently did a special interview with Derek Lambert of the Youtube channel MythVision in which I discuss the “failed apocalypse” of the first century CE and how the followers of the John the Baptist-Jesus movement, including Paul and James coped with that “Great Disappointment.” This is a very informal discussion and at the end of the interview I suggest a way of understanding the “interim ethics” of Jesus in our contemporary setting. I am frankly surprised that it already has over eight thousand views since just yesterday!  Seems to be some real interest out there on this vital topic.
