As most of you know, I have taught in the Department of Religious Studies since coming to UNC Charlotte in 1989, as well as serving as Chair of the Department for 10 years (2004-2014). If you haven’t been keeping up with the amazing and explosive growth of UNC Charlotte (30,000 and growing), North Carolina’s major urban research university, check out our web site, browse, and be sure to take the Virtual Tour, see uncc.edu.
However, what I want to emphasize in this blog post is our Dept. of Religious Studies story. We are a dynamic, productive, harmonious, diverse, and fascinating group with 15 full-time faculty and three award-winning Lecturers. Our web site has just recently been redesigned and I invite you all to dive in, browse, and explore all we offer: religiousstudies.uncc.edu. Be sure and take a look at the courses we are offering this semester and you will get some idea of the fascinating range of research and teaching that we collectively represent: Fall 2018 Courses.
I am posting our latest Newsletter below which I invite you all to browse. It is truly amazing to read through and I wanted to share all the great accomplishments of our faculty and students with my wider blog reading public. Some people have asked me whether I will remain at UNC Charlotte–my answer is a simple one–take a look, how could any place be better! This is a PDF file and it might take a bit of time to load. Please follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/religiousstudiesUNCC) and Twitter (@uncc_Rels) Enjoy!
