In this special 12 part series I survey cross-culturally ancient views of death, afterlife, and the future in the ancient Western world--including ancient Hebrew, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, with special attention to ancient Judaism and emerging Christianity--especially the ideas of resurrection of the dead in the New Testament, both of Jesus and at the end of the Age.
